Female Orators by Joseph Addison SUMMARY Females Better Orators Than Men Socrates was supposed to have been taught eloquence (expressiveness) by a female teacher. This went to prove that females are better suited for the art of oratory than men. Addison feels that women should occupy the chairs for rhetoric in universities.
